Dorothy M. Miller, 84, of Perryville, Missouri passed away Friday, January 6, 2023 at her home.
She was born on September 23, 1938 in Silver Lake, MO to Fred and Irene (Pingel) Stortz.
Dorothy and Charles L. Miller were married August 13, 1955 at the Assumption Church in Perryville. He preceded her on January 13, 2019.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.
Dorothy retired from School District #32 Perryville where she was a School Cafeteria worker.
She enjoyed sewing, doing jigsaw or crossword puzzles, and above all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include son, Michael (Sheila) Miller of Perryville, MO; three daughters, Linda (Mike) Light of Perryville, MO, Laura (Danny) French of Dayton, TN, Lisa (Terry) McClanahand of Perryville, MO; daughter-in-law, Cathy LaRose of Perryville, MO; two brothers, Bernard Stortz of Frohna, MO, Ron (Paulette) Stortz of Perryville, MO; two sisters, Margie (Harold) Miller of Perryville, MO, Zita (Jim) Kramer of Minnith, MO; eighteen grandchildren; thirty eight great-grandchildren and one great-granddaughter arriving in May.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Mark Miller; three brothers, Sonny Stortz, Ed Stortz, Bill Stortz.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 8:00 am to 9:30 am on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
Mass will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Ben Melaku C.M. Officiating.
Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Parkinson’s Foundation or American Cancer Society.
