High School Boys Basketball

 

PERRYVILLE – St. Vincent lost at Valle Catholic 60-57 last night.

 

The Indians led 19-12 after one, 38-30 at the half, and 50-48 after three. Valle outscored St. Vincent 12-7 in the fourth quarter for the final margin.

 

Dylan DeWilde led the Indians with 19 points, Grant Abernathy had 15, Blake Monier had 12, Simon Unterreiner had seven, and Jacob Schremp had four.

 

The junior varsity Indians lost 43-39 to Valle’s JV.

 

Max Wheeler had 14 points for the St. Vincent junior varsity. Parker Ellis and Boston Tarillion each had eight points. Wyatt Winkler had seven. Sam Koishor had two.

 

The 8-5 varsity Indians will join the 10-2 junior varsity at Crystal City Friday.

 

PERRYVILLE – Perryville lost at Windsor 62-27.

 

The Pirates play freshmen, junior varsity and varsity games beginning at 4:30 Friday at De Soto Friday.

 

JACKSON – Saxony Lutheran lost at Park Hills Central 71-49.

 

The Crusaders play in the Chester Invitational Tournament which begins on Monday.

 

STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste Genevieve plays at Fredericktown Friday.

 

CHESTER – Chester plays at Wesclin at 7:30 Friday.

 

High School Girls Basketball

 

PERRYVILLE – Perryville defeated visiting Windsor 61-25.

 

The Lady Pirates host De Soto for junior varsity and varsity games beginning at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

 

CHESTER – Two games last night in the Lady Jacket Midwinter Classic.

 

Chester defeated New Athens 52-28 and Dupo topped Steeleville 43-24.

 

The tournament continues tonight with a consolation semifinal game between Valmeyer and Cobden at 6 p.m. and a championship semifinal game between Marissa and Sparta at 7:30.

 

JACKSON – Saxony Lutheran hosts Kelly Thursday night.

 

PERRYVILLE – St. Vincent plays at Valle Monday, January 9th.

 

STE. GENEVIEVE – The Ste. Genevieve high school  varsity girls are off until January 12th when they play North County at 7:30 p.m.

 

In Middle School Basketball

 

STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve Middle School teams lost all four games they played last night to Potosi.

 

The seventh grade girls lost 43-25 despite some good hustle.

 

The eighth grade girls lost 22-13 in two quarters despite playing hard and keeping the score close.

 

The seventh grade boys lost 43-22.

 

The eighth grade boys lost to Potosi 51-28.

 

All four teams will be back in action against North County Thursday.

 

High School Wrestling

 

STE. GENEVIEVE – The Ste. Genevieve female wrestlers travel to Hillsboro Wednesday for a 5 p.m. meet.

 

STE. GENEVIEVE — Ste. Genevieve male wrestlers also compete at Hillsboro Wednesday.

 

STE. GENEVIEVE – Valle wrestles Hancock Wednesday.

 

 

Basketball deadline extended

PERRYVILLE – The registration deadline for 5th/6th and 7th/8th Grade Basketball has been extended to January 9th. The fee is $55/members and $60/nonmembers.
