JEFFERSON CITY — A woman from Louisiana suffered serious injuries in a traffic crash on Highway 32 in St. Francois County Sunday morning.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Courtney P. Lewis of Playuemine, Louisiana was taken to Mercy Hospital South by a St. Francois County ambulance.
The patrol says Lewis was the driver of a 2022 Chevrolet 1500 which ran off the right side of the road, struck an embankment and overturned.
The crash happened about 7:35 a.m. at Copeland Road.
The patrol says Lewis was buckled up.
