JEFFERSON CITY — A 46-year-old Jackson man died and another Jackson man suffered serious injuries in a traffic crash on Route K in Bollinger County Wednesday evening.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Richard E. Keller was pronounced by Bollinger County Coroner Calvin Troxell at 7:55 p.m. A passenger in the pick up, 65-year-old Douglas C. Weaver was flown to St. Louis University Hospital by an Air Evac helicopter.
The patrol reports the crash happened when the 1997 Chevrolet Silverado pick up Keller was driving ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree.
The patrol says neither man was buckled up.
The crash happened about 6:30 p.m. four miles north of Sedgewickville.
The pick up was a total loss.
