STE. GENEVIEVE — The monthly Ste. Genevieve city sales tax report has been released.
It shows mixed results.
The receipts from the city’s one percent general revenue tax were down $10,838.76 in November, however the year to date figure shows a $45,341.80 increase so far this year, with one month to go.
This year’s November check totaled $71,468.24 which is down from the $82,307.00 the city received in November 2021.
So far this calendar year the city’s one percent tax has brought in a total of $724,672.28.
The city’s two half cent sales taxes are down as well, running about $7,136 below the November 2021 level. Still the year to date number is still up from last year.
Those taxes fund capital improvements and transportation.
The city’s consolidated city use tax is up in November, compared to November 2021, but only by about $5,662 dollars. So far this calendar year, the use tax has brought in $203,499 which is up about $55,482.70 over the first 11 months of 2021.
