A funeral will be held Monday, December 12, 2022 for 90-year-old Elmer Laurentius of Perryville, Missouri who passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Southeast Hospital.
He was born November 4, 1932 in Hilderbrand, Mo. to Stephen and Theresa (Lee) Laurentius, who preceded him in death.
Elmer and Barbara Smith were married July 6, 1957 in St. Mary, Mo.
Survivors include two sons: Ronald Laurentius of Perryville, Mo., and David (Rhonda) Laurentius of Ellisville, Mo.; daughter: Donna (Curtis Houston) Laurentius of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; a sister: Betty Jones of Jackson, Mo.; three grandchildren: Ronnie Laurentius, Ryan McGill, and Taylor Laurentius; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
He was a construction worker with laborers Local No. 282 and then for the City of Cape Girardeau and retired from there in 1992.
Elmer was an Air Force veteran.
He was a member of St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle, Mo., K.C. IIII in Cape Girardeau, Mo., and the American Legion.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Monday, December 12, 2022 at St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle.
A funeral mass for 90-year-old Elmer Laurentius of Perryville will be at 11 a.m. Monday, December 12, 2022 at St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle with Fr. Patrick Christopher officiating.
Burial will be at St. Maurus Catholic Cemetery in Biehle.
