A funeral will be held Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022 for 77-year-old Doris Oneida Petzoldt of Perryville, Mo. who passed away Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Independence Care Center.
She was born May 23, 1945 in Seventy-Six, MO to Ernst Max Theodore and Agnes Ruth (Oster) Hadler who both preceded her in death.
Doris and Elmer Petzoldt were married on April 4, 1964 at Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar, MO.
Survivors include a son: Timothy Petzoldt; two daughters: Tara (Brad) Bowers and Tammy Bastien; a brother: Kenneth Hadler; three sisters: Ruth (Pat) Luehrs, Mary Lou Muench, and Marilyn (Wayne) Brim; nine grandchildren: Nathaniel, Tiffany, Kyle, Nicholas, Kassandra, Amber, Christopher, Derrick, and Damon; 14 great-grandchildren: Summer, Erica, Natalynn, Madilynn, Miranda, John Michael, Lance, Hailee, Meagan, Kieran, Makena, Dallas, Raelynn, and Asher.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Willis Hadler; and a son-in-law: Tommy Bastien.
She retired from Proctor & Gamble.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, Lutherans for Life, LWML and was a former volunteer of the Immanuel Lutheran Youth Group.
Doris never met a stranger and enjoyed meeting new people. She enjoyed camping and spending time outdoors. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at the Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
Visitation will continue on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 from 9-11 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville.
A funeral for 77-year-old Doris Oneida Petzoldt of Perryville will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville with Rev. Matthew Marks officiating.
Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Perryville.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family for a charitable cause of their choice.
