Johnson and Keim file for Ste. Genevieve mayor

STE. GENEVIEVE — Ste. Genevieve alderwoman Susan Johnson and newcomer Brian Keim have filed to be candidates for mayor of Ste. Genevieve.

Johnson and Keim both filed Tuesday, the first day of filing.

Johnson said the current mayor, Paul Hassler, had announced earlier that he would not be filing for another term as mayor.

There were two other filings in Ste. Genevieve Tuesday: Joe Steiger for Ward 3 Alderman and incumbent Mike Raney for Ward 4 Alderman.

Filing for the April 4th municipal election is underway during normal business hours at city hall until 5 p.m. December 27th.
