Charles ‘Charlie’ V. Yankey

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2022 for 66-year-old Charles “Charlie” V. Yankey of Kimberling City, Missouri, formerly of Rockwood, Illinois, passed away at 5:35 am, Sunday, December 4, 2022 at his residence.

 

He was born to the late William G. and Dorothy (nee Valleroy) Yankey on November 7, 1956 in Red Bud, Illinois.

 

Charlie married Martha “Marty” Mansker on June 27, 1981 in Fort Gage, Illinois; she survives in Kimberling City, Mo.

 

He is also survived by a sister: Tina (Rick) Belton, Sr. of Chester, Ill.; a brother: Todd (Chris) Yankey of Chester, Ill.; his mother-in-law: Virginia Mansker of Rockwood, Ill.; brothers and sisters-in-law: LaCleta Hall of Springfield, Ill., Kirby (Carolyn) Mansker of Springfield, Ill., Sherry Mansker of Springfield, Ill., Randy “D.K.” Mansker Walden, of the state of Colorado, and Melodie (Kenneth) Rushing of Rockwood, Ill.; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.

 

He was also preceded in death by: grandparents, parents, father-in-law and a brother-in-law.

 

It was Charlie’s wish to be cremated.

 

Visitation will be 8:30-11 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at the Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester, Ill.

 

A memorial service for 66-year-old Charles “Charlie” V. Yankey will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at the Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester, Ill. The Rev. Cecil Dunning will officiate.
