JEFFERSON CITY — Two persons were hurt in a traffic crash on Highway 61 in Ste. Genevieve County Wednesday night.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 34-year-old Emily R. Lurk and a seven-year-old boy each suffered minor injuries in the crash. They were taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson by Ste. Genevieve County ambulance.
The patrol says the crash happened when a northbound 2015 Honda Odyssey driven by Lurk struck the rear of a parked 2002 Ford dump truck which was partially in the roadway.
The Odyssey was a total loss and there was moderate damage to the dump truck.
Both occupants of the car were buckled up, there was no one in the dump truck.
The crash happened about 7:50 p.m. in the 6200 block of Highway 61.
