ROLLA, MO – Sigma Pi’s Alpha Iota Education Foundation (AIEF) is announcing two freshmen are its scholarship program recipients for 2022. These scholarships are available to those who have graduated from high school or its equivalent and are enrolled to attend the Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T).
Joseph Goring was awarded the Richard “Rich” and Ruth Swanson Memorial Scholarship of $5,000. He is from Pocahontas, IL, and is studying computer engineering.
Ethan McMillan was awarded the Dr. Richard “Dick” Miller Scholarship of $1,500. He is from Cape Girardeau, MO, and is studying mechanical engineering.
“AIEF is excited to provide scholarships to Ethan and Joseph. We are also very proud to honor the legacy of Rich and Ruth Swanson and Dr. Richard Miller, who gave so much to the Alpha Iota Chapter and the Missouri S&T community,” said Michael Munsell, President of the Alpha Iota Education Foundation.
Applicants submitted an application, essay, and official transcript of high school grades.
