A service will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2022 for 66-year-old Matthew “Matt” Arnold Rhinehart of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. who passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his wife and two daughters Friday, November 25, 2022.
He was born April 26, 1956 in Perryville, Mo.
He married Judy (Mueller) Rhinehart on November 2, 1985. She survives in Ste. Genevieve.
He is also survived by two daughters: Hannah (Wes) Rhinehart-Trollinger of Sainte Genevieve, Mo., and Kendra (Josh) Adams of Columbia, Mo.; six brothers: Gary (Barb) Rhinehart, Fr. Bill Rhinehart, Chuck (Cathy) Rhinehart, Eric (Diane) Rhinehart, Mark (Cindy) Rhinehart, and James (Michelle) Rhinehart; two sisters: Becky (Larry) Kist and Tosca (Robert) Colnar; his mother-in-law: Dorothy A. Mueller; a sister-in-law: Sandy Vaeth; two brothers-in-law: Gary (Diane) Mueller and Craig (Celeste) Mueller; grandchildren: Bryce (Special Friend Kaylee Myers) Trollinger, Aiden Trollinger, Jayden Rhinehart, Mason Trollinger, Karson Trollinger, Korbin Trollinger, Bindi Adams, and soon to be Baby Boy Adams (due January 2); several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his mother: Sylvia (Schumer) Long; his father: M. Charles Rhinehart; his step-father: John Long; his sister: Margaret Bohnert; his brother: Dale Rhinehart; his father-in-law: Robert H. Mueller; and his brother-in-law:Austin Vaeth, Jr.
He was a member of Knights of Columbus and Sainte Genevieve Elks Lodge 2674.
Matt was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He had a love for aviation that he shared with his father and obtained his private pilot’s license at the age of 40.
He had an abundance of love for his wife, children, and grandchildren. They were the light of his life.
Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022 and 9-11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2022 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
A service for 66-year-old Matthew “Matt” Arnold Rhinehart of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2022 at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve, Mo. The Clergy will be Fr. Bill Rhinehart.
Matt’s wishes were to be cremated after his service.
Memorials may be made to Wildwood Integrative Healthcare and Serenity Hospice.
