Petrowske has been a volunteer at the monthly events for many years. He is the first friendly face that vouchered visitors see when they arrive at the market.

He makes sure their vouchers are valid and he then assigns a number to their vehicles indicating how many families they are picking up food for.

The monthly event takes place the 4th Wednesday of each month at the Cohen Recreation Complex parking lot in Chester.

Some of the food and health care items given away in October included milk, fresh onions, meats, mixed vegetable boxes, carrots, Kraft dressings, potatoes, coffee, Pepsi Cola products, and Nike, Adidas and Reebok athletic shoes. Approximately 90 vouchers were filled in October at the Mobile Market.

The CACFP served 194 households, and 517 individuals at the Koeneman Acres location. Food items needed currently include canned soup, canned pastas, and Hamburger Helper.
