Ste. Genevieve city sales tax receipts are up 9.3 percent

STE. GENEVIEVE — Ste. Genevieve city sales tax receipts are up by nearly $56,000 so far this calendar year.

 

The October receipts were deposited in the city’s account at the Bank of Bloomsdale November 4.

 

The Missouri Department of Revenue reports the one percent general sales tax brought in $60,485.82 in October, raising the year to date total to $653,204.04 a 9.3 percent increase over the first 10 months of 2021.

 

The city’s two half-cent sales taxes were up by more than $22,736 each for a year to date total of about $303,620 each.

 

Ste. Genevieve’s Consolidated City Use tax brought in $17,629.81 in October and now stands at $182,276,55 so far this calendar year, an increase of $49,820.88.so far this calendar year.
