A funeral will be held Monday, October 31, 2022 for 92-year-old Dorothy J Pfeifer of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. who passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022 at her home.
She was born October 16, 1930 in Ste. Genevieve, Mo.
She married Melvin Pfeifer March 27, 1954
She is survived by: three daughters: Lois (Tom) Flieg of Saint Mary, Wanda (Jeff) Roth of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. and Donna (Ken) Fairfax of Eureka, Mo.; a son: Craig Pfeifer of Saint Mary, Mo.; grandchildren: Ryan (Jodi) Flieg, Nick (Susan) Flieg and Sara (Sam) Steffan; Curt (Dana) Roth; Lauren (Justin) Sharpe, Connor Fairfax (friend Bailey Filipiak); Justin and Garrett Pfeifer; and great grandchildren; Phoenix, Athena, Hattie Jean, Kate, Tucker, Camdyn, Jackson, Baker and one on the way
Preceded in death by: her husband: Melvin O Pfeifer; father: James Griffard; Mother: Anna “Mecie” (Duvall) Griffard; three brothers: Thomas J. Griffard, Glennon “Dick” A. Griffard, Carl Griffard; and a granddaughter: Lindsay Roth.
She was a member of VFW Auxiliary Post 2210.
Dorothy enjoyed gardening, cooking, sitting on her porch, hummingbirds and quilting.
She taught Sunday School and was a woman of strong faith.
Most of all Dorothy loved hosting family gatherings and being surrounded by her loving family.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, October 30, 2022 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, Mo. and 9-10 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2022 at First Baptist Church, Ste. Genevieve.
A funeral for 92-year-old Dorothy J Pfeifer of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. will be held at First Baptist Church at 10 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2022. The Rev. Roger Faulkner will officiate.
Burial will be at Minnith Cemetery in Minnith, Mo.
