Janie Lee Laird

The Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve has announced the passing of 63-year-old Janie Lee Laird of Bloomsdale, Mo. who passed away peacefully in her sleep on Oct. 19, 2022.

 

She was born in Martin, Tenn. Dec. 1, 1958 and is preceded in death by her mother Patricia Ellen Moore of Dresden, Tenn. and her father Andrew Eugene Little of Dresden, Tenn.

 

She was a beloved mother to Windy (Jeff) English of Bloomsdale, Mo., “Granny” to Robin Palazzolo of Park Hills, Mo. and Joseph Palazzolo of Affton, Mo. and great “Granny” to Serenity and Lucas Hummell of Park Hills, Mo.

 

She was a baby sister to Andrew (Carol) Little of Obion, Tenn., Vickie McPeak of Dresden, Tenn.,  Doodle (Dennis) Moore of Martin, Tenn. and Cindy Bell of Martin, Tenn.

 

She was a favorite aunt to Lori (Chris) Beeler, Carla (Philip) Munn, Jody (Rachael) Rock, Shane (Amy) Osteen, Jamie Osteen, April Donaldson, Kristy (Curtis) Baker, Bridget James and Danyelle Whitmore.

 

She was a great aunt, cousin and friend to many, and she had friends that became family; Sean Moore, Pat Luef, Cindy Holmes and the whole Moore family. <3

 

Janie loved to spend time in Tennessee with her family, her furry baby Tazzy and work in her garden.

 

In life, she loved to travel for fun and in her career as an emergency medical carrier.

 

She was a sassy, fun-loving, free spirit that carried that energy to all parts of the country and to all who met her.

 

She will be missed by many.

 

Janie’s final request was to be cremated and taken to her favorite spot in Tennessee where she may Rest in Peace.

 

“Fly free Mom and know you are loved.”
