PERRYVILLE – Bethany Bachmann, University of Missouri Extension County Engagement Specialist in Nutrition and Health Education has won the 2022 Nutrition, Health, and Families Regional Specialist of the Year Award!
The award was presented to Bethany at the Nutrition, Health, and Families Extension Conference held in Columbia, Mo.
Presenting the award is Dr. Chad Higgins, Associate Vice Chancellor for MU Extension and Engagement.
Bethany is headquartered in Perry County and provides programming in Perry, Cape Girardeau, Bollinger, and Madison Counties. Currently her programs include: A Matter of Balance–fall prevention strategies, Stay Strong, Stay Healthy-strength training for older adults, Tai Chi for Arthritis, Chronic Disease and Diabetes Self-Management, and nutrition and food budgeting programs.
