SPARTA, Ill. – Buchheit of Sparta will host the 8th annual “No One Fights Alone” campaign to raise money for local cancer fighters.
All proceeds will be donated to the Cancer Care Specialists of Illinois Charitable Funds.
The annual “No One Fights Alone” campaign runs throughout the month of October, dedicated to any and all who have experienced the trauma that follows a cancer diagnosis.
It is a rarity to find someone who has been unaffected by one of the most common diseases in the world.
The Buchheit family began the “No One Fights Alone Campaign” in October 2015 by calling attention to breast cancer by decorating their retail stores in pink.
This year the “No One Fights Alone” campaign is bringing attention to Kidney Cancer, the sixth most common cancer in the United States.
The Buchheit family has been directly affected by this cancer with Ella, Kenny Buchheit’s granddaughter, being diagnosed in 2019.
In the last seven years since the campaign got its start, Buchheit has raised more than $67,000 for local organizations that provide services and treatment to cancer patients.
This year, their goal is to reach $20,000 across all stores.
