Ste. Genevieve Board of Aldermen meets

STE. GENEVIEVE – The Ste. Genevieve Board of Aldermen met in regular session Thursday evening.

The meeting was shown live on SteGenTV Channel 991 and on the SteGenTV You Tube Channel. It is now available at https://youtu.be/zaROJpdlAEA

All of the aldermen were present.

Donald Rapp spoke to the aldermen about miss-steps which occurred in the city allowing an above ground swimming pool on an adjoining property. He said the site plan did not include the underground utilities, which were not located until immediately before the installation of the pool. That and the installation of a larger pool caused the pool to be installed closer to the property line than allowed. Rapp said the Board of Adjustment approved a variance to make the pool legal.

The consent agenda was approved. It included a liquor license for El Potosino Mexican Restaurant, 634 Ste. Genevieve Drive; and three street closures:

Main Street from Market Street to South Gabouri and Market Street from Second Street to Main Street from 5:30-8 p.m. Friday, October 14 for a Sensory Friendly Family Night sponsored by French Colonial America.

The same streets will be closed again from 5:30-8 p.m. October 15th for the 10th annual Night of the Werewolf sponsored by French Colonial America.

The same streets will be closed again from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. November 5th for the Pecanapalooza Street Festival also sponsored by French Colonial America.

A public hearing was held on a special use request from S&W Storage to allow a self-storage facility at 11307 Save-A-Lot Drive in a general commercial district.

The aldermen approved the following measures:
