Missouri small businesses endorse Eric Schmitt for U.S. Senate

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.– The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, endorsed Eric Schmitt for election to the United States Senate to represent Missouri.

“Eric Schmitt has the experience needed to be an effective pro-small business Member of Congress,” said Brad Jones, NFIB Missouri State Director. “He served in the state Senate, was Missouri’s 46th state treasurer, and the former Attorney General of Missouri, which has allowed him to understand how economic policies can impact small businesses. In the Missouri Senate, he worked to lower tax rates for pass-through businesses, which benefited Missouri small businesses statewide. Eric Schmitt has expressed his opposition to the expansion of burdensome regulations and has committed to lower taxes on small businesses. We are confident that he will be a strong ally for small businesses in the U.S. Senate.”

“I have a record of fighting for Missouri’s small businesses by cutting taxes and bureaucratic red tape,” said Attorney General Eric Schmitt. “As job creators contend with the highest inflation in decades, I will always fight to lower taxes, eliminate unnecessary regulations, and push back on overreaching government mandates.”

“On behalf of Missouri’s small businesses, we are pleased to endorse Eric Schmitt today,” said Sharon Sussin, NFIB Senior National Political Director. “He has been a consistent supporter of Missouri’s small business economy and we know he will continue to support them in the U.S Senate.”

The endorsement is issued from NFIB FedPAC, NFIB’s political action committee. NFIB FedPAC is funded by voluntary contributions by NFIB members over and above their membership dues. Decisions made by the NFIB FedPAC are managed by a member-driven evaluation.
