ALMA PEARL ASBURY, 88, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 5:03 am, Friday, September 16, 2022 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home, Chester, Illinois.
She was born to the Rudolph J. and Stella (nee Lancaster) Scott on August 16, 1934 in Crystal City, Missouri.
Alma married Albert R. Asbury on February 14, 1988 in Chester, Illinois; he preceded her in death on January 12, 1999.
She had worked as a cook at New Moon and St. Ann’s Nursing Home in Chester, Illinois.
She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Chester. She was also a member of the V.F.W. Auxliary and the American Legion Auxiliary in Chester. Alma volunteered at the Chester Nutrition Site and loved cooking, shopping and crocheting.
