A memorial service will be held Saturday for 72-year-old James J. Farrar of Perryville, Mo. who passed away Monday, September 12, 2022 at his residence.
He was born February 26, 1950 in Cape Girardeau, Mo. to Frank and Iola (Clements) Farrar.
He and Charlotte Bohnert were married July 17, 1971 at Zion Lutheran Church in Longtown. She survives him in Perryville.
Survivors include a son: Brian Farrar; daughter: Magen (Brandon Owens) Farrar; two sisters: Mary (Kevin) Brown and Karen (Kevin) Clifton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter: Tahnee Farrar; two brothers: Eugene Farrar and Michael Farrar; a sister: Catherine (Farrar) Unterreiner.
Jim served in the Navy during the Vietnam War and also was in the Naval Reserves.
He was a paramedic and disaster preparedness coordinator for Perry County Memorial Hospital.
Jim loved fishing, hunting, golfing and farming.
Visitation will be from 8:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
