Auto racing at the Du Quoin State Fair

DU QUOIN, Ill. — The 68th running of the Ted Horn 100 presented by MiteXstream and the 69th running of the Rust-Oleum Automotive 100 will set the stage for one of the most exciting weekends in dirt track racing!

The USAC Silver Crown National Championship series will arrive at the historic Du Quoin Mile on Saturday, September 3rd for the 68th Ted Horn 100 presented by MiteXstream.  With the largest field of USAC Silver Crown Cars in over 20 years, the “Magic Mile” is slated for a historic night of racing action.

Du Quoin will be the start of the title watch for the USAC Silver Crown points race. With just four races left after the “Magic Mile”, thanks to a postponed Springfield Mile, points leader Kody Swanson holds a 63 point margin over second place Logan Seavey, and is looking for his seventh Silver Crown National Championship.

However, one of the toughest fields of competitors in 20 years stands in Swanson’s way. With a fantastic win last year by veteran Brian Tyler, will we see a repeat for the first time in many years or will someone new etch their name in the historic Mile dirt?

The ARCA Menards Series will head to the “Magic Mile” for the 69th Rust-Oleum 100. After a chaotic finish to the Springfield Mile, the next dirt event for ARCA is sure to not disappoint.

With Jesse Love’s win at Springfield, he has a chance for quite the lovely payday at Du Quoin. Thanks to the sponsorship of Performance Seed, if Love can win at Du Quoin he will take home an extra $50,000 for the Performance Seed Dirt Double. However, a field of 20 other competitors look to stand in his way and interrupt his payday.

Make sure to not miss one of the most exciting weekends in all of racing with two top series making their way to the “Magic Mile!
