JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Developmental Disabilities Council encourages Missourians with intellectual and developmental disabilities to utilize Enable Dental’s on-site mobile dental services. In collaboration with the Missouri Coalition for Oral Health, Enable Dental is assisting in the implementation of a pilot dental telehealth, also known as teledentistry.
The on-site mobile dental services will include x-rays, exams, cleanings, fillings, and extractions. Counties serves include St. Louis, Lincoln, Warren, Jefferson, St. Charles, Franklin, Shelby and Monroe.

Program goals include improved oral health outcomes, education, cost reduction, and data collection for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This program is designed to enroll 125 individuals.
This project is supported through an agreement with the Missouri Developmental Disabilities Council. Funding for Dental Telehealth provided in part by the Missouri Developmental Disabilities Council (MODDC), grant 2101MOSCDD-01, as authorized by Public Law 106-402-Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act of 2000 (DD Act).
The Missouri Developmental Disabilities Council (MODDC) is a federally-funded, 23-member, consumer-driven council appointed by the Governor. Its mandate under P.L. 106-402, the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, is to assure that individuals with developmental disabilities and their families participate in the design of and have access to needed community services, individualized supports, and other forms of assistance that promote self-determination, independence, productivity and integration in all aspects of community life.
