Stella Marie Mattingly, 99, of Sainte Genevieve, Missouri died Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Ste. Genevieve Care Center.
She was born June 2, 1923 in Perry County, MO to Charles and Caroline (Giesler) Lawrence.
Stella and Robert S. Mattingly were married on June 12, 1940 at Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer, MO.
She was a member of Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer and The Ladies Sodality in Brewer.
Stella and her husband worked as full time farmers. She like to cook, quilt, garden and especially loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include eight children, Joan Naeger of Ste. Genevieve, MO, June Marie Mattingly of St. Louis, MO, Wanda L.(Wilfred) Figge of Pevely, MO, Vernon Patrick (Darlene) Mattingly of St. Mary, MO, Dianne M. (Norman) Fenwick of Perryville, MO, Robert Lee (Susan) Mattingly of St. Mary, MO, Marilyn K. (Dan) Clippard of Festus, MO, Scott Mattingly (Grandson) of Cape Girardeau, MO;Â Thirty One Grandchildren and numerous Great and Great-Great-Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Paul V. Mattingly; five siblings, Robert Lawrence, Wilbert Lawrence, Neoma Rollet, Erma Berkbigler, Anna Schamel; Grandson, Phil Mattingly; Granddaughter, Arlene Braun; Great-Grandson, Jacob Mattingly.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, August 19, 2022 and from 8:00 am to 9:20 am Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer with Fr. Mark Pranaitis officiating.
Burial will be at Christ the Savior Catholic Cemetery in Brewer.
Memorial contributions may be given to Christ the Savior Catholic Cemetery.
