Violet Fay Hathaway, 94, of Lafayette, Ind. passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Rosewalk Village.
Violet was born February 5, 1928 in Perryville, Mo., to the late Oda and Matlida (Wilke) Statler.
On July 1, 1944 she married Edward Joseph Hathaway, Jr in Perryville, Mo.
He preceded her in death on January 1, 1993.
Violet was a homemaker and member of the Jehovah’s Witness. She was very active and involved with Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness.
She enjoyed crossword puzzles and flower and vegetable gardening.
Surviving is her son Ronnie (Cathy) Hathaway of Bement, Ill. and daughter Judy Kelsey of Lafayette; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
Along with her husband, Edward, she is preceded in death by her parents, sister Daisy Seifert and three brothers Elvis, Elzie and Ellis Statler.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 4 p.m. EST: 3 p.m. CST.
