John Wesley West, 81, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 4:36 pm, Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Saint Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.
He was born to the late John and Irene (nee Boyer) West on September 25, 1940 in Union County, Illinois.
John married Carolyn Krietner on July 14, 1962; she preceded him in death. On May 4, 2001 he married Beth Runge; she survives.
He had worked as a plumber and pipe fitter for United Mine Workers.
John was of the Catholic Faith. He enjoyed boating and camping at Kentucky Lake. He also enjoyed driving his Corvette.
He was a United States Army Veteran.
