State Fair equine shows start this week

SEDALIA – The 4-H and FFA Horse Show begins this week and marks the beginning of many equine shows and competitions held at the Missouri State Fair.

The  4-H and FFA Horse Show will take place July 28-31 in the Mathewson Exhibition Center, Donnelly Area and Coliseum. Visit the online Equine Schedule for complete show information, including start times and classes.

 

Other equine shows happening at the 2022 Fair begin on Friday, Aug. 12, and continue through Sunday, Aug. 21. A complete schedule for all equine events can be found in the online Equine Schedule.

 

The World-Famous Budweiser Clydesdales will be on display east of the Mathewson Exhibition Center. They will be in the Opening Day Parade which starts at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 11 and will parade the grounds starting at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 12-14. On Aug 18-20 they will open the Draft Horse Shows in the Mathewson Exhibition Center and then parade the grounds. Their final parade will take place at 2 p.m. on the Fair’s final day, Aug. 21.
