Marcella Rose Curtis

A funeral will be held Saturday for 91-year-old Marcella Rose Curtis of Bloomsdale, Mo. who passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital in Sainte Genevieve.

 

She was born January 20, 1931 in Brickeys, Mo.

 

Survived by: daughter, Joyce (Glennon) Huber of Saint Peters, Mo; two granddaughters: Kimberly (James) Allison of O’Fallon and Jill (Lawrence) Nolte of St. Peters; grandson: Jason (Tracey) Huber of St. Charles; seven great-grandchildren: Zachary Allison, Ainsley Allison, Paige Nolte, Samantha Nolte, Kara Nolte, Rose Huber, Ruby Huber; and many nieces and nephews.

 

Preceded in death by: mother, Dorthy (Pinkley) Reed-Eisenbeis; father, Russell Reed; husband, Henry Beryl Curtis; two sons: Kevin Curtis and Michael Curtis; grandson: Mark Huber; brother: Don Reed; sister-in-law: Mary Ann Reed; and step-father: Reynold “Popeye” Eisenbeis.

 

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve Saturday, July 23, 2022.

 

A funeral for 91-year-old Marcella Rose Curtis of Bloomsdale will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2022 at the Basler Funeral Home. The clergy will be Deacon Jim Basler.

 

Burial will be at St. Agnes Cemetery in Bloomsdale, MO

Marcella was a kind and thoughtful mother, grandmother and friend. She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching birds and wildlife around her home. St. Agnes was a very important part of her life from going to church to working in the school cafeteria to visiting the cemetery. She will be missed by her family and friends.
