Viola Irene Clifton, 92, of Alton, Illinois, formerly of Perryville, Missouri, passed away at 8:20 am, Saturday, July 16, 2022 at River Crossing of Alton, Alton, Illinois.
She was born to the late Benjamin and Minnie (nee Mantz) Cashion on June 23, 1930 in Crosstown, Missouri.
Viola married Thelburn Puntman on May 10, 1948; he preceded her in death. She then married Homer Childers on October 27, 1963; he preceded her in death on July 12, 1979. She then married Martin Clifton on September 2, 2000; he preceded her in death on October 14, 2004.
She had worked in packaging at Gilster Mary-Lee Corporation before retiring.
Viola was a member of First Baptist Church in Perryville, Missouri.
