STE. GENEVIEVE – This month’s 4th Friday Art Walk in Ste. Genevieve guarantees twice the fun with the historic downtown’s annual Moonlight Madness sale scheduled for the same evening…almost assuring “something for everyone.”
The events will take place on Friday, July 22.
Artspaces open during the event include Only Child Originals and Rust, premiering an elegant set of new “pour paintings” by resident artist Sam Conlon, along with her familiar fantasy metalwork and other exotica.
Music Art Love introduces featured artist Tammie Dickerson and live music with Paul Hogenmiller starting at 5pm. The space is offering sales on artwork and musical instruments.
The Sainte Genevieve Art Guild, in partnership with the Mississippi Valley Art Guild in Chester, will host a one-night-only exhibit of a dozen creations by the MVAG Teen Art Group for 4th Friday. Some new pottery and wood sculptures have been added to the Guild’s member exhibit which runs through August 7.
E•KleK•Tix Gallery & Studio will show new work by Jean Rissover with some special sales of the gallery’s “other interesting things.”
Rollin’ on the River will be participating along with the Ste. Genevieve Museum and Learning Center.
Brix Winery’s collection of art will be on display and the drink special echoes the Moonlight Madness tropical theme with a Blue Hawaiian Sangria served in a pink flamingo floaty, plus a Beach Swag Bag giveaway. Owners say “You gotta ‘play’ to win so come dressed in your island gear.”
Silver Sycamore Gallery of Fine Art, ASL Pewter and QRST also are expected to be open, along with other downtown merchants.
Moonlight Madness runs from 5pm to 8pm, the Art Walk from 6pm to 9pm.
Most Art walk events are free and open to everyone.
