Dale J. Thieret, 83, of Perryville, Missouri died Thursday, July 14, 2022.
He was born April 10, 1939 in Perryville, MO to Howard J. and Bernice (L’Hote) Thieret.
Dale and Aurelia Sauer were married April 11, 1959 in Perryville. She preceded him in death on March 9, 2009.
He was a farmer and retired from Proctor and Gamble. He proudly served in the Missouri Army National Guard for 36 years and retired as Lieutenant Colonel.
One of Dale’s proudest accomplishments was his family. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved hosting family gatherings at his home whether is was for the holidays or unplanned family parties.
Dale was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church, Holy Name Society, Legion Booster, and Charter Member of the Perryville Elks.
Survivors include seven sons, Craig (Linda) Thieret of Perryville, Tim (Tina) Thieret of Perryville, David (Melissa) Thieret of Perryville, Robert (Therese) Thieret of St. Louis, Brad (Dorris) Thieret of Perryville, Scott Thieret of Jefferson City, Jeff (Nicole) Thieret of Jackson; four brothers, Allen (Norma) Thieret of Farmington, Gary (Kay) Thieret of Perryville, Kevin (Patty) Thieret of Perryville, Dennis (Debbie) Thieret of Perryville; two sisters, Marilyn Hoffman of Perryville, Karen (Oren) Ellis of Perryville; Special Friend, Donna Buchheit; 22 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Carol Miserocchi, Darlene Hayden.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 and from 8:00 am to 10:00 am on Wednesday July 20, 2022 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Rev. Mark Pranaitis, C.M. officiating.
Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville with Military Honors provided by American Legion.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
