SEDALIA – Entertainment abounds at the 2022 Missouri State Fair. The Homegrown Singer Contest, sponsored by Bimbo Bakeries USA, will be held on the Budweiser Stage. Singers from all over the state will compete in this vocal talent event bringing loads of fun, friendly and family entertainment. While having Buckets of Fun at the Fair, be sure to stop by the Budweiser Tent and listen to all of the talented individuals who are competing for the grand prize of $500 and a chance to sing at the 2023 Fair. Preliminary rounds start at 4 p.m. on Aug. 11 – 14, semifinal rounds start at 4 p.m. on Aug. 18 – 20, and final rounds start at 2 p.m. on Aug. 21. Entries and auditions to compete in the Homegrown Singer Contest are being accepted through July 22. Interested contestants should visit the State Fair website, complete the entry form and send in an Mp3 or YouTube audition to msfhomegrownsinger@gmail.com.
