Caledonia youth hurt in Highway 32 crash

JEFFERSON CITY – A 17-year-old Caledonia resident suffered minor injuries in a traffic crash on Highway 32 in Ste. Genevieve County Tuesday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the unnamed youth was taken to Parkland Health Center by a St. Francois County ambulance.

The patrol says the crash happened when the 1990 Ford F-150 the youth was driving east came to a stop to make a left turn and was struck in the rear by a 2012 Honda Accord driven by 20-year-old Jared N. Kenik of Ste. Genevieve. The F-150 then rotated clockwise off the edge of the road. Kenik was not hurt.

Both drivers were buckled up.

The crash happened about 4:35 p.m. east of Sand Creek.
