Prairie du Rocher initiates parking restrictions for 300th anniversary

PRAIRIE DU ROCHER – Prairie du Rocher is adopting parking restrictions and street closures for its 300th anniversary.

 

Event parking is only allowed in the following designated areas: Fort de Chartres, American Legion, St Joseph’s Catholic School/Church, and Durbin’s bluff view parking next to quarry.

 

Shuttles will transport people to and from event.

 

The following roads will be closed effectively 8 a.m. Saturday morning until 9 p.m. Sunday evening July 9-10:

 

Market Street from the Bank to State Route 155 (Henry St)

Court Street from Market St to Henry St

The following 2 roads will be closed, but accessible for local residents along that street.

C Avenue from Middle street to Railroad St.

Main St from DuClos St to Henry St.

 

Access to the Bank and Myers Market parking lot will be open from DuClos Street for customers only during business hours.

 

After business hours that lot will be used exclusively for handicap parking and EMS.

 

There will be no parking along the following roads to ensure Shuttle, EMS/emergency vehicles have passage ways: Main St, Middle St, Chartrand St, and Broad St.

 

Again we ask for everyone to be patient this weekend as we navigate through this event, and hope everyone has an opportunity to come down and enjoy the festivities.
