Rumble strips, shoulders for Route M in Ste. Genevieve County

SIKESTON—Route M in Ste. Genevieve County will be reduced to one lane starting Monday so contractor crews can perform pavement improvements, including the addition of rumble strips and adding shoulders to the roadway.  

Traffic will reduced to a 10-foot width between Highway 61 in Ste. Genevieve and Route J near Ozora, Missouri. 

Weather permitting, work will begin Monday, July 11, with completion anticipated Wednesday, November 30 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily.  

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
