One person hurt in three-vehicle crash on Highway 32 in Ste. Genevieve County

JEFFERSON CITY — A 68-year-old Oran man suffered moderate injuries in a three-vehicle traffic crash on Highway 32 in Ste. Genevieve County Thursday morning.

 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Carol A. Dirnberger was taken to Barnes Jewish Hospital by a Ste. Genevieve County ambulance.

 

The patrol says the crash happened when Dirnberger attempted to make a left turn in his eastbound 2011 Chrysler 200 and drove into the path of a westbound 2010 Mazda driven by 33-year-old Samantha J. Lindsey of Perryville. After the collision, the Chrysler traveled off the north side of the roadway and struck a 2020 Ford Expedition driven by Daniel J. Macke of Cape Girardeau which was in a parking lot.

 

The patrol reports Macke, and Dirnberger were buckled up, but Lindsey was not.

 

The crash happened about 11:11 a.m. east of Route A.

 

The Mazda and the Chrysler were total losses. The Expedition had moderate damage.
