RED BUD, Ill. — To highlight the success of women business leaders throughout his district, State Representative David Friess (R-Red Bud) has announced the Watch Us Grow: Women’s Leadership Initiative. The mission of the Initiative is to educate, inspire, and empower the generation of female leaders.
“It is my honor to serve the communities of Southern Illinois. We are excited about the opportunities the Women’s Leadership Initiative will bring to all its participants,” said Rep. Friess.
The Women’s Leadership Initiative will consist of two components: mentors and mentees. Mentors and mentees will each submit information about their career field/career goals and statements about what they hope to gain from a mentoring relationship. Mentor/mentee matches are based upon many different factors such as career interests, geographic proximity, and sometimes other factors such as similarity of personalities, shared interests, or mentorship goals.
