Gubernatorial Candidate Paul Schimpf and Running Mate Carolyn Schofield barnstorm across Illinois from Elizabeth to Chester

WATERLOO, Ill. – Illinois Republican candidate for Governor Paul Schimpf announces “A New Start for Illinois” statewide tour, in which Schimpf and Schofield will make campaign stops in fifteen cities over three days.

“We are excited to connect with voters across the state and share our plan to renew the great state of Illinois over the final days of the campaign,” Schimpf said. “Some of the communities we will visit on this final tour have been hit hardest by Governor Pritzker’s failed policies and leadership. We need a governor who will take responsibility and stand up to special interests, and I hope to show voters that I’m offering the leadership we desperately need to fix Illinois.”

The “New Start for Illinois” tour kicks off in northwest Illinois on Friday, making stops across western and central Illinois. Saturday’s stops will be concentrated in southern Illinois, finishing in Schimpf’s hometown of Waterloo. The tour concludes on Monday throughout the Chicagoland collar counties.
