Pam Meyer, Eric Bennett reappointed at last night’s Ste. Genevieve Board of Aldermen meeting

STE. GENEVIEVE — The Ste. Genevieve Board of Aldermen met in regular session for only sixteen minutes, before meeting for a work session that ran for more than an hour.

During the regular session, the aldermen appointed Pam Meyer for another term as city clerk and Eric Bennett for another term as police chief.

The aldermen also heard reports from David Bova, Community Development Administrator and Ken Steiger, Fire Chief. Tourism Director Jeff Wix was absent and submitted his report in writing.

The aldermen approved one resolution which was included in the consent agenda.

That resolution declares two Taser X26 units as surplus property.

The aldermen had one ordinance on the agenda. It was second round consideration of a request for guest lodging at 89 Seraphin Street.

During the work session, the aldermen heard a presentation by Dave Christensen of Cochran Engineering on street pavement.

Following that presentation, the aldermen discussed housing on the acreage the city has exchanged for city property with the Church of Ste. Genevieve.
