Ste. Genevieve’s general fund sales tax is up 3.9 percent

STE. GENEVIEVE — Ste. Genevieve’s general fund sales tax receipts so far this calendar year are up nearly $12,000 from the first five months of 2021.

 

The Missouri Department of Revenue transferred the May sales tax receipts to the city Tuesday.

 

The total for the general fund sales tax so far this year is $308,194.78, so the increase is about 3.9 percent.

 

Similar percentage increases were seen in the mass transportation and capital improvements sales taxes.

 

So far this year, Ste. Genevieve’s consolidated city use tax has brought in $84,509.93, which is up $19,635.06 compared to last year.
