HILLSBORO – As the final event in the Jefferson College’s 2021-22 PACE (Performing Arts and Cultural Enrichment) series, a cast of students, community members and staff will present the summer musical production “Mamma Mia” directed and choreographed by Communication and Theatre Professor Dr. Rebecca Ellison with music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus, and some songs with Stig Anderson. Book by Catherine Johnson.
In addition to Ellison, production leaders consist of Music Director Chris Auchly and Stage Manager Christopher Owens.
Cast members include Whitney Dodson as Sophie, Desiree Terry as Ali, Angelina Pirolo as Lisa, Ashley Rudolph as Tanya, Rebecca Ellison as Rosie, Teresa Schwartz as Donna, Mateo Bluemel as Sky, Brayden Pratt as Pepper, Brandon Menke as Eddie, Ray Martin as Sam, Joel Vanderheyden as Bill, Aaron Kamphoefner as Harry, and Michael Booker as Father Alexandrios.
Members of the ensemble include Maren Burns, Cameron Clark, Michael Esparza, Veronica Franklin, Kyley Gartner, Maggie Kausler, Matthew Kettmann, Zoey Laburay, Shawn McAfee, Lucas Nevois, August Palmer, Lizzy Schappe, Alyson Schneider, Riley Stolarski, Katie Tipton, Ally Willeke, Zoe Wood, and James Woolston.
Orchestra members include Chris Auchly (conductor), Mark Trautwein, Betty Kusterer, Karen Propst, Jillian Mayer, Shane Maue, Zach Dineen, Craig Vinyard, Gavin Luther, and Jeremy Lovier.
Performances are scheduled for Friday-Saturday, June 17-18, at 7 p.m., Sunday, June 19, at 2 p.m., and Friday-Saturday, June 24-25, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, June 26, at 2 p.m. in the air conditioned Fine Arts Theatre on the Hillsboro campus. Please note that some shows contains adult language and adult situations.
Individual event tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students/senior citizens/Sunday matinee shows.
