Ronald E. Laramore

Ronald E. Laramore, 78, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 1:07 pm, Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at his residence.

 

He was born to the late Malcom and Juanita (nee Mines) Laramore on August 4, 1943 in East St. Louis, Illinois.

 

Ronald married Judy Maue on September 2, 1965 in Tilden, Illinois; she survives.

 

He served in the U.S. Army from 1962-1965 in both Korea and Vietnam. Upon returning, he worked at Spartan Printing and then worked and retired as a Security Therapy Aid at Chester Mental Health Center.

 

Ronald was a member of the V.F.W. Post #3553 in Chester, the Mississippi Valley Gun Club and the Single Action Shooter Society. He was a jack of all trades. Ronald enjoyed doing pretty much anything outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and camping at Sutton’s Bluff in Missouri. He also had a taxidermy shop.

 

Survivors: Wife: Judy Laramore Chester, IL; 2 Sons: Danny (LaDonna) Laramore Chester, IL Jeffrey (Vicki) Laramore Chester, IL; 2 Brothers: Jerry (Nancy) Laramore Tilden, IL and Wayne (Pat) Laramore Sparta, IL; Half Sister: Shirley Jean Burke; Sister-in-law: Beverly Laramore; 4 Grandchildren: Steven Laramore, Mollie (Max) Wetstein, Danielle Laramore (Fiance Josh Draves) and Marah Laramore; 3 Great Grandchildren: Bryton, Logan and Wyatt; Many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends

 

Preceded in Death by: Parents, 1 Sister – Betty Arnold and 1 Brother – Jack Laramore

 

It was Ronald’s wish to be cremated.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
