CHESTER – On Wednesday, June 22, 2022, SIU football student-athletes and coaches will be performing community service in the Southern Illinois Region for their 3rd Annual Saluki Football Southern Illinois Clean-Up.
The City of Chester is proud to announce that we were chosen as one of their destinations.
Saluki football Head Coach Nick Hill and approximately 50 of the Southern Illinois University football team and coaches will arrive in Chester, pick up trash, enjoy lunch (provided by the Chester Eagles), and then host a FREE Football Camp for kids!
The camp will be held at the Cohen Recreation Complex. The camp is open to anyone age kindergarten to 8th grade. This a wonderful opportunity for our local children.
Participants MUST be registered by a parent or adult guardian.
Registration forms are available at Chester City Hall and on our website, www.chesterill.com.
Please contact 618-826-1430 for any questions.
The Community Cleanup and Youth Clinic initiative started in 2019 as a community service project, in which the team spreads out into four communities to clean up trash in public areas.
Donations may be made to the Clean Up efforts and can be made in support of an individual student athlete’s efforts.
For example, if you contribute $10 per hour for five hours of work, your contribution would be $50 and make a huge difference for their program.
All donations made will directly support the SIU Football Program.
Your Donations Support a Variety of Needs Such As:
Summer School Scholarships
Team Meals
Equipment
Student-Athlete Experience And so much more.
The City of Chester thanks those who consider giving to support our SIU Saluki Football Student-Athletes in their efforts to give back to the communities they live in.
Your gift will make a difference!
