Jerome T. “Butch” Winters, 75 years old, of Las V6385, NV, passed away on January 18, 2022. He was born on May 12, 1946 in Ste. Genevieve, MO to Thomas and Mena (Meyer) Winters.
He is survived by his wife, Irish Winters; two sons, Michael (Laura) Winters and Thomas (Amy) Winters; two daughters, Christine (Darren) Treasure and Holly (Zak Joshua Rose) Winters; one stepdaughter, Meghan; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; 5 brothers, Joseph, Williams, Daniel, Mark and Timothy; 3 sisters, Clarita Steele, Mary Roth and Gerarda “Doots” Flieg. He is also survived by the mothers of his children, Janice Huck Winters and Sherry Childers winters.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Thomas and Richard; and one step- son, Jake.
Butch graduated from Valle High School Class of 1964 where he excelled In football and basketball. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Army and served a tour of duty in Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion Post 150. He worked in heating and cooling in Las Vegas as territory manager and branch manager at M5 Steel in Las Vegas. He was well respected by his work community in Las Vegas.
Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery on May 28, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. with full military honors.
Butch had an impressive personality and everyone who had the honor of knowing and loving him will carry on his unique zest for life. He will certainly be missed.
