STE. GENEVIEVE – The Ste. Genevieve County R-II School District hosted its first Unified Track Meet Tuesday, May 10!
“The event was an inspiring success, with more than 100 students from nine schools visiting Ste. Genevieve to participate,”a district official commented.
Various student groups had a part in coordinating the event to cheer on and support our student athletes.
The district official said more than 100 R-II students volunteered to make the event a success!
The following schools participated:
Ste. Genevieve County R-II: 6 participating students
Arcadia Valley: 15 participating students
Bismarck: 6 participating students
Central: 31 participating students
Farmington: 13 participating students
Fredericktown: 17 participating students
Kingston: 4 participating students
North County: 11 participating students
Potosi: 10 participating students
West County: 8 participating students

Track Team and Coaches for organizing all of the events
SGHS Student Council and its advisors, Kyle Schweiss and Tyson Roth, for working the concessions and assisting with any and all questions that arose
SGHS FRIENDS organization and high and middle school student athletes for helping to run the events
Officer Christy Clark, Major Jason Schott, and the Ste. Genevieve County Sheriff’s Department for handling each and every medal, ribbon, and certificate
Coach Jess Fallert for Victory Village outdoor game set-up (and getting well over 20,000 steps in by 10 a.m.!)
Mr. Chris Thompson for building the awards podium
Ste. Genevieve Rotary Club for assembling more than 400 lunches for athletes, buddies, and coaches
