A funeral will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2022 for 94-year-old Herbert Julius Petzoldt of Jackson, Missouri who passed away Friday, May 13, 2022 at Monticello House in Jackson, Mo.
He was born March 20, 1928 in New Wells, Mo. to Anton and Edna (Koenig) Petzoldt who both preceded him in death.
Herb and Dorsey Schilling were married February 17, 1977 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna, Mo.
He is survived by four daughters: Julie Meikle, Janet Jaco, Jolene Vogel and Jackie Shaw; a step-daughter: Gloria Mueller; a step-son Harlan Lohmann; a sister: Ardene Koenig and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter: Joyce Stockton; five brothers: Junior, Tillman, Harold, Harlan and Pearl Petzoldt; three sisters: Viola Fassel, Ruth Schmidt, and Shirleen Mueller.
He was a truck driver for Shawneetown Feed & Seed.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Wells, Mo.
Herbert was active in numerous church organizations for 38 years.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Wells.
A funeral service for 94-year-old Herbert Julius Petzoldt of Jackson will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Wells with the Pastor Steven Theiss officiating.
Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in New Wells.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Lutheran Hour Ministries.
