JEFFERSON CITY — The number of new COVID-19 cases is up in the state of Missouri and in Ste. Genevieve County as well.
The CDC reports the number of confirmed and probable cases in Missouri for the past seven days was 5,602 up 1,586 or 39 percent more than the previous week’s total
There were 15 new COVID-19 cases in Ste. Genevieve County compared to fewer than 10 last week. Perry County had fewer than 10 new cases, the same as last week.
St. Francois County had 20 new COVID-19 cases in the past seven days. Cape Girardeau had 27 new cases. Bollinger County had fewer than 10. Jefferson County had 260.
Almost all of the Missouri cases are the Omicron variant nearly all the BA.2 lineage with a few cases of the BA.
