Ste. Genevieve Board of Aldermen meets

STE. GENEVIEVE – The Ste. Genevieve Board of Aldermen met in regular session last night.

 

The aldermen heard reports from City Administrator Happy Welch, Fire Chief Kenny Steiger, Community Development Administrator and Tourism Director Jeffery Wix.

 

The aldermen approved three resolutions:

 

Resolution 2022-50: Re-appointing Gary Roth to the Planning and Zoning Commission.

 

Resolution 2022-51: Re-appointng Kathy Waltz to the Planning and Zoning Commission.

 

Resolution 2022-52: Appointing Mark Buchheit to the Ste. Genevieve Heritage Commission.

 

The aldermen approved a street closure and a request for the sale of alcohol on Main Street for the Oktoberfest Festival September 16 and 17, 2022.

 

Bill No 4490: A budget amendment to cover revenue and expenditure increases. Second reading passed 8 yes, 0 no, 0 absent.

 

Bill No 4491 An amendment to the city’s personnel manual. Second reading passed 8 yes, 0 no, 0 absent.

 

Bill No 4492 Eliminating unnecessary handicapped parking spaces on city streets. First reading was accepted.

 

Bill No 4493 Hiring Meinershagen Roofing and Sheet Metal of Farmington to repair the roof of the firehouse for $11,400 First reading was accepted. Second reading passed 8 yes, 0 no, 0 absent.

 

Bill No 4494 Transferring ownership of 59.60 acres of property along Progress Parkway to the Ste. Genevieve Catholic Church Real Estate Corporation.  First reading was accepted. Second reading passed 8 yes, 0 no, 0 absent.
