Career & Resource Event will offer local, area employers,  resources

STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo. – Ste. Genevieve Community Resource and Career Fair will be held May 18th at Progress Sports Complex from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Job seekers who are interested in immediate employment will have the opportunity to meet with employers. Local and area employers that will be in attendance will be Eric Scott Leathers, Holcim, Mid-America Carpenters, Department of Corrections, Angstrom Manufacturing, LMC Industries, Piva Windows, 5H Fabrication and Design, Quality Foundations, and TSA.

 

In addition, resources agencies will be on-hand to discuss various programs that could assist with overcoming obstacles to employment, including training opportunities. Resource agencies expected to attend EMAA, Veterans Services, Social Services, Mineral Area College SkillUp, MO Vocational Rehab, and Laboure Exchange.

 

“Looking for a job can be stressful, but it doesn’t have to be,” said Estrella Carmona, County Engagement Specialist at MU Extension. “If you come to this career fair, we will do everything within our means to help you apply for the job you want. This is a low stress way to seek new opportunities in employment or learn new skills through agencies that offer training.”
